Hathershaw Prize Presentation Evening 2025

Hathershaw Prize Presentation Evening 2025

On the evening of Thursday 13 November, Hathershaw hosted their annual Prize Presentation. This was held at The Hathershaw College for the first time in its history, to resounding success. This was to celebrate a brilliant year of success and group achievement. Students were rewarded for their hard work and personal resilience, exemplifying excellence, in what has proven to be a very trying and challenging year. A true evening of celebration and joy, a chance for students to feel proud and for the school to award their hard work and dedication.

200 students were invited to be rewarded for their hard work, attendance and excellence on the night; they consisted of current Year 8-11 and last year’s school leavers. This was the 14th year of the Prize Presentation Evening where students, family, friends, staff and local figures were invited to an evening of sharing and celebration.

Alongside their excellent GCSE results, the Class of 2025 have also made a lasting contribution to the wider school community. They have broken records in fundraising for charity, excelled in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme, and acted as strong role models, supporting younger students with their transition to secondary school. Hathershaw strives to reward not only results but also personal development and growth, something that the school finds to be of equal importance and merit.

The night also served as a showcase of students' artistic talent, with MiSST orchestral performances and sneak previews of this year's stellar Hathershaw Production; Matilda Jr.
